On those rare times when stars align, when I have a model, assistant, props, wardrobe and a great location available, I get all of a sudden inspired and these photos emerge.
As we are entering the Autumnal equinox, with colorful foliage everywhere, I prepared a set of five Photoshop brushes that might come in handy in this time of the year. It took me a short walk around our backyard to collect a couple of interesting shaped leaves from the trees and shrubs we have: black locust, gooseberry, Arborvitaes, sage and English Ivy.
I don’t know how many times I had to fill, sign then email an artist release out to be signed, instruct the model to print it, sign it, scan it then send it back hopefully receive it in time to post my images. Believe me, I felt the pain of signing artist releases, but I…
Oh no.. not another high resolution sky texture pack. That’s what I was thinking of as well, but you know what? Not one sky photos is the same since the skyscape is in a continuous change, so each image ever published, including the ones I am making available for FREE here are UNIQUE!
Well, except the one with a clear sky.
It just happened to have a storm rolling in the area that brought with it some pretty dramatic clouds.
So here they are, 12 high resolution UNIQUE skyscape images for your enjoyment.
As always, please leave a comment below with a link to your artwork where you used one of these textures. I am curious to see the creative ways you are coming up with!
Here is a FREE set of Lightroom presets (version 3 and later) I developed that are being applied to all of my photo processing recently. I wanted to preserve the original lighter skin tones, by adding a warm and creamy hue in the highlights (thus the Milkshake title), while having a high contrast with moderate shadows, so I can have my subject pop out.
Play with the Exposure to bring the image to the desired point, with the Blacks slider to add punch, and use the Recovery to tame the highlights from being blown out.
Works best on RAW images. Go easy on the colors 😉
A set of 8 alpha channel, pre-keyed high-resolution images of autumn leaves
