Christmas 2013 stock photography round-up on Stocksy United
Weeks are zipping by like spit out watermelon seeds (sorry for the graphic image). So yes here are this weeks posted photos (mainly on my Google+ profile), in a combination of stock photos available on Stocksy and just photos I took at random. Enjoy!
Planning the Serenade photo-shoot
It doesn’t happen every day to have parked in front of your office a gorgeous looking Miller Formless M1000 concrete pouring machine in its full splendor. What a nice subject for today’s FREE FRIDAY to snag some high-resolution metal surface textures! And there were plenty to choose from scratches to cement splotches, stains and dried…
A set of 8 alpha channel, pre-keyed high-resolution images of autumn leaves
week 39 photos round-up
A free pack of 10 high-resolution images of yellow stenciled numbers on asphalt.
As we are entering the Autumnal equinox, with colorful foliage everywhere, I prepared a set of five Photoshop brushes that might come in handy in this time of the year. It took me a short walk around our backyard to collect a couple of interesting shaped leaves from the trees and shrubs we have: black locust, gooseberry, Arborvitaes, sage and English Ivy.
Here is a FREE set of Lightroom presets (version 3 and later) I developed that are being applied to all of my photo processing recently. I wanted to preserve the original lighter skin tones, by adding a warm and creamy hue in the highlights (thus the Milkshake title), while having a high contrast with moderate shadows, so I can have my subject pop out.
Play with the Exposure to bring the image to the desired point, with the Blacks slider to add punch, and use the Recovery to tame the highlights from being blown out.
Works best on RAW images. Go easy on the colors 😉
