Orthodox Cathedral in Timisoara

I got the chance to go for a quick visit to my home town in Romania, Timisoara the other week where I still have my Dad. The strange thing was that even if I grew up there most of my life there, it was like all of a sudden was able to see color from being color blind. Not sure if the experience was because of my eyes getting used to my current New Continent surroundings, or my latest photography bug, but I was stunned at the palette of colors, details, textures and vibrant hues display everywhere.
Specially in the country side where despite the modern life infusion, people are still living an archaic almost fairy tale like life.
It was like a new territory for me. I left Romania since 2000 and I am sure many things changed, buildings got re-modeled, but for some reason one needs to leave a place to start appreciating what’s there.

So, I took a ton of pictures, of course while being there so I have a hard time categorizing them in some sort of a manner that would make sense, but I’ll try my best.
